Readable as two thought bubbles or as eight panels.
This one is more like poetry than a comic (with the text and all the visual symbolism); probably the only one like it in the series. It was originally supposed to follow right after comic #14, but the comic strips now between the two couldn't quite fit anywhere else in regard to chronology. I guess the bit of comedy to break up the "drama" didn't hurt.
Anyhow, this is a bit of a look behind the two sisters and their family situation -- how their mother affected who they are by not being in their lives nearly as much as she should.
