So like, I have a long spreadsheet list of ideas I've had over the past year or so for individual Blue Starlight comic strips (since the series does have a fairly solid chronology to it, I need to plan ahead to some extent). Some comics on the list have specific scripts, some have specific jokes and punchlines, and some only have general scenarios that I want to occur in order to convey some sort of character development. This comic is an example of the final comic type.
I guess these types of comics will tend to have more of a "random" feel to them, which could be good or bad. And somehow here, I ended up with yet another joke concerning Hoshi's Japanese skills.
Must be something in my subconscious.
But yeah:
"Hoshi and I in Japan"
"[This is a photo of] Hoshi and I in Japan"
"This is a photo of [Hoshi and] I in Japan"
"This is a photo of I in Japan"
NO.
"Me and Hoshi in Japan"
"[This is a photo of] me and Hoshi in Japan"
"This is a photo of me [and Hoshi] in Japan"
"This is a photo of me in Japan"
YES.
But if a verb was in the original statement, then we'd have a whole different story. Or just use "myself" to play it safe (but there's no fun in that). I just learned you some
